Ellen DeGeneres, CoverGirl model
This is so entirely awesome to me. Ellen DeGeneres, while a beautiful woman, is not a "hot" woman. But she is an amazing, confident, powerful woman, and exactly the sort of role model young women need. So it did my heart good to see a CoverGirl cosmetics commercial air on TV this week, featuring Ellen at her lovely, goofy, charming best, and putting a new face on beauty.
This actually makes me want to BUY CoverGirl products, and I'm NEVER swayed by advertising.
